Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards introduced Adeline and Ribbon (last seen as dream friends in 2018’s Kirby Star Allies), the ability to mix copy powers plus a bunch of mini-games, now playable in both local and online multiplayer on Switch. Well, sort of – it’s 3D graphics in a 2.5D platformer, as the game is still essentially a 2D platformer like it’s predecessors. Released in 2000 on the N64, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was Kirby’s first foray into the third dimension. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards will be available for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass next week.
